Egils Saga

Here follows the audio recording of Egils saga Skallagrímssonar. The text is the 1893 English translation by W. C. Green, from the original ‘Egils saga Skallagrímssonar’. The full saga is 92 chapters – this is a work in progress. The text is sourced from with minor changes due to the audio format. Changes include dividing sentences where the written style is heavy on conjunctions, correcting words if the original text is assumed to contain typos, and the occasional full Icelandic pronunciation of anglicized names.

The chapters vary in length, from very short (under a minute) to quite long (several minutes). Chapters are added as soon as they are ready and linked below.
